Get Outdoors in the Parks on Public Fort George Real Estate

The area around Fort George homes is ideal for people who enjoy the outdoors. Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park is located along the banks of the Fraser River. It’s a wonderful place to visit. Kids enjoy the huge playground, spray park, and Little Prince mini train. Everyone can learn more about the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation by reading the interpretive signs in the Lheidli T’enneh cemetery. Trails wind through the park and are a great place to walk, jog or bicycle. Many events are held at the park, including a regular Yoga in the Park class. Every September, the Prince George Symphony Orchestra plays its Pops in the Park concert in the park’s bandshell. The park was also the location of the 2015 Canada Games. Connaught Hill Park is also nearby it provides stunning views of downtown Prince George. The loop trails make for a nice walk or jog, with carefully tended flowerbeds and an old mill wheel.

Downtown Prince George is just a few miles north of the Fort George/Connaught community. People who work in downtown find the area convenient for commuting. Many residents enjoy the quiet, neighborly feel, while still being able to take advantage of the great shopping and fun events of downtown.
