Wine and Dine on Prince George Property

Posted by Jessica Davey on May 5, 2018 in News

Explore the glorious sights of Prince George property at Northern Lights Estate Winery. With a vision to become British Columbia’s northernmost winery, a dream came true for Pat and Brenda Bell. Once up and running this family winery quickly earned a reputation for featuring high-quality fruit wines. Selections presented are appreciated by wine connoisseurs both locally and around the globe. Here the reds, whites, dessert and seasonal wines are very different but all worth savoring just the same.

The best way to get to know wines bottled at Northern Lights Estate Winery is by experiencing a tour or tasting. Tours take guests all around the grounds. Folks get a glimpse of the cellar, tank room and the orchards. Inspired staff delves deeply into the history of both winemaking in general and the Northern Lights Estate Winery specifically. Held seasonally, trips end in the wine shop where tastings are offered. Those who can’t decide on a favourite bottle often become members of the Aurora Wine Club which presents multiple options in consideration of frequency and cost.

Enjoy the Scenery and a Glass of Wine when Living in Prince George

As a soft wind blows upon the Nechako River where the winery is located, residents of Prince George property luncheon upon its shores. The scene is set for beautiful moments with Picnic tables scattered about the landscape. Many unpack meals brought from home and perhaps purchase a bottle of wine to indulge in. Another option for friends visiting or living in Prince George is sitting down to dine in the on-site restaurant. The Bistro features a riverside patio for outdoor dining as well as inside space. A creative menu appeals to all tastes with temptations such as flatbread pizzas, tapas, and pasta dishes. Couples soaking up the romantic atmosphere often opt for Charcuterie or cheese boards. Bistro hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours Friday and Saturday nights. All day brunch brings folks in on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
